Reservation before opening?

So, I have a reservation at 8:00 am, but the park doesn't open until 9:00. Is there an error, or is this one of those "you get in early because you are eating with us" things? The park is Hollywood Studios and the breakfast is at Hollywood and Vine.

Yup - you do get in early 'cuz you're eating with them. Its a great perk, get ready to run for TSM before anyone else!

Yes but no rides open until 9AM. So even if you finish eating at 8:30 you will have to wait just like everyone else. Although I believe at Hollywood Studios it is at least in a different area.

Then you proceed to march to Toy Story.

We do this almost each trip and you go to the left at the HS entrance by turn styles and will be a line just for breakfast but even if your out before park opening cannot cut lines to say if you would want go get TSM fastpass they have CM watching until rope drop
