Rescheduling with new date/re: New Rates

Hi! I already have a 7 night stay booked for next Dec. 28-Jan 4. If I move the date only, will the new rates apply or will be reservation dates just be changed. Also, we are changing from Holiday to Value on Jan 16-23, so I realize it will be lower. Just curious as to how much lower. Thanks!

You will pay the rate in effect on the date that you check in. If that is after value season begins, then it will be value rates for your entire stay. I am not sure what the dates and costs will be at that time, since it will be 2007 prices. (?)

Hi! just wondered where you are in Southern IL? Also, I guess what I am asking is did I mess up big time by not changing my date before the rates/tickets went up. I'm hoping that we can just change the date and not incure the additional cost of the increase.

Are you talking about room only reservation or a package with tickets? The tickets went up recently, and I have only seen the room prices for 2006, which were released some time ago (not sure how it works with 2007 rates--I suspect you get whatever they tell you when you book).

I suppose that the tickets may go up again before your trip, so if you can buy them now, it might be better (and yes, would have been better to buy last month). Now, for the rooms, well, you are going to save a ton of money by going during Value season rather than Holiday season which is the most expensive. To give you some idea (I see from your sig you are staying at the Polynesian, my favorite, lol) here are the 2006 rates for those rooms according to Mousesavers:

Holiday Season:
garden view--$499
lagoon view--$600
Concierge garden--$645
Concierge lagoon--$780
Value Season:
garden view--$315
lagoon view--$410
concierge garden view--$440
concierge lagoon view--$550

Much different!
Oh, and I am in Carbondale. (when I am not at the Polynesian, lol!!)

Oh, I forgot, those rates do not include the 11.5% tax.
