Had a reservation for today through next Saturday at OKW. Last week we decided to cancel Sunday and Monday to try to get there on Tuesday, called member services and they worked it out. Now our flight got canceled to get down on Tuesday, we're going to need to cancel the whole reservation. My question is does anyone have any idea how this will be handled with member services being closed until Tuesday morning? My guess is I just try to call on Tuesday morning, I'm hoping they'll be understanding of all of the cancellation that will come in last minute. Did manage to book a new (non-DVC) whole trip to Disneyland, our first time there.

Call the resort directly and let them know your situation. I'd even do that tonight. You may NOT really be speaking directly with someone at OKW but they should be able to assist. I would follow up again in the morning to make sure it was canceled. OKW Phone: (407) 827-7700

Good luck and enjoy DL!

If I cancel by calling front desk or online, any idea what that will do to points? I realize no one really knows, just really stressful.

The Disney Vacation Club website states that you can cancel online, and then you should email member services about removing the points from holding. There is a link which shows the instructions and what you should include in your email.

You're amazing! Just cancelled and emailed them. Saved me stress and trying to call/hold with them while I'm on my way to Disneyland!! Thanks again!!

I called MS on Saturday 9/9 for a reservation beginning that same day that I couldn't cancel online, and it was cancelled with no issue. The agent even submitted the request to reverse the holding account status and "unborrow" the points for me.

They've been very accommodating, IMHO. I've certainly had various issues with DVC and Disney over the years, but their help and flexibility during this storm has been exceptional.

I cancelled our reservation online (one night for a studio for 9/13 at OKW which was only 10 points) right after the hurricane. I was surprised that our points did not go into holding, but back to our 2017 use year that they originally came from. I was able to immediately bank them online for 2018 (we have a Feb. use year so a Sept. 30 banking deadline). It is really great that Disney made this cancellation process without penalty so easy in light of Irma and we are grateful. It is difficult for many people to travel in Florida now complicated also by a gas shortage.

I'm shocked you weren't floating the SAB river DURING the hurricane!
