Anyone know or know where you can find out what Disney is charging for resale on the older properties like OKW? And what are the current incentives for a purchase through them for a add-on from a older property? Thanks

Purchasing an earlier DVC property from Disney is not exactly considered a 'resale'. You will have to buy the minimum number of points Disney requires of first time buyers on direct purchase through them - iirc that is 160 pts, an exception may be AKV - some posts in past week or 2 mentioned possible 100 pt buy-in for new purchasers but I don't know if that has in fact been confirmed.

There is a very healthy resale market where you will find contracts of various sizes at all DVC resorts (including the newest BLT) that you may want to consider giving a good look and this will allow you also the ability to purchase into DVC for less points than their minimum requirement(your membership will not be treated any differently) Also, depending upon the resort you pick a contract on the resale market may even save you a significant amount of $ over Disney's prices.

This board's sponsor, The Timeshare Store (click their banner at top of page) is an excellent, knowledgeable resale broker of DVC contracts and many posters here, myself included, have purchased contracts through them. There are also other resalers too that many have had positive results with, search the threads to read more.

I just bought 160 2009 OKW points from Disney. I paid $101 a point- April use year. They threw in 160 points from 2008 and didn;t charge any mantainence fees for the 2008 points. Made ressies first day of talking to guide-didn't have to wait until closing. Points expire 2057.

I'd also be curious what the current add on prices are and if there are any required minimums. We own at 3 locations and are considering adding at each. Maybe 25 to 50 at each. But I don't know the cost or if there are any incentives for add ons.
edit: Found the info at DVCnews.com. I hadn't looked far enough to see the add on prices.

I know that BLT has $8.00 off per point for 50 - 99 points (so $104). I believe that AKV is $10.00 off per point for that same level of points. There are no incentives off the $112.00 for contracts smaller than 50.

But, the BLT incentive is rumored to go away on June 15th. Not sure about the others.

I am doing another 50 point BLT add on and will be starting the process this week. This way, if the incentives go away, I am locked in. And, if new ones are announced a few weeks later, I should still be in process and will be able to switch.
