Resales and Fidelity

I am somewhat new to posting on these boards but I've learned so much from all the great posts and info on here.

My question is about Fidelity. I'm buying a resale and have tried to look up contracts from them but they don't seem to have a very good website advertising DVC contracts.

The ads seem a bit confusing and don't contain much info. Is this just a case of me looking in the wrong place or is Fidelity that vague in their ads?

I have had much better luck looking at the other larger stores including TTS. I have also heard of the relationship between Disney and Fidelity- wouldn't Fidelity have a better site to advertise their stock?

Am i missing something here???

I have no experience with Fidelity but I've dealt with 2 timeshare resale companies and neither have had questionable websites. There are enough good/solid places to deal with, why even bother with a company that has vague info. on its site? Most of my communication with the resale companies has been via email. So, you want to know they understand the importance of good internet communication.

You are not missing anything. Fidelity does indeed have a horrible website. You have to write to them about each listing individually to find out the UY, the number of points available for each year, etc. You can't even see which contracts are stripped or full until you have contacted them about a specific listing. However, they do have a mailing that gives more info. Once you have made contact, they will add you to the email list and send you a weekly summary of all listings, sorted by resort, with much better information.

I've purchased through **********.com, DVCbyresale.com, and Fidelity. I have also heard really great reviews about the forum sponsor, The Timeshare Store. I think you'd do well going with any of these. Be aware, though, that purchasing via Fidelity will result in an extra $195 administrative fee that is not charged by the other three resale companies I've mentioned.

**********.com has access to the Fidelity listings and if you buy a Fidelity listing through them, you don't have to pay the $195.00 fee.

We are in the process of buying our 4th contract thru Jaki/****, and every one has been a Fidelity listing. I just call Jaki/**** and tell them what I am looking for - each time they have been able to find the perfect contract thru Fidelity. I always pay regular closing costs, no extra $195 fee.
