I am glad that the OP got to buy the contract that they wanted.
Here is a follow up to my post #8.
I called MS again and talked to a different manager. He stated that the other manager should not have told me that it was clear to sell my contract because they aren't trained in that area.
I discussed the issue with the resale agent and they confirmed that unless Disney has changed their policy, all reservations using that contract would be canceled. The escrow agent contacted Disney to verify the cancellation policy and they were told that they would have to submit the contract for review to get the answer.
I should mention that the more contracts that you have, the more challenging it is to administer them. We have 26 contracts and over 1400 points. Make that 25 contracts, one just sold.

That is correct that all pending reservations would be canceled if a resale file closed. At The Timeshare Store, Inc.® we ask our sellers if there is a pending reservation do they plan on canceling or keeping. If they say keeping then we simply advertise the property that it can't close until the check out date. For example, I sold a property on 12/31/09 that can't close until 8/7/10.
