Just so I'm clear before making an offer, my

Membership #1, October UY, consists of VWL & BWV

Membership #2, December UY, AKV

If i add on @ AKV via an October UY, would it generate a 3rd membership # or would it be rolled into membership #1?

Additionally, if i were to transfer the AKV points from the new Oct contract to the existing December UY one, would that count as 2 transfers (one for each account?).

Anything else I'm possibly missing here?

The new Oct contract would be added to your existing Oct UY master.

IMO transfers are not worth the headache. You have to have MS do the transfer. You can't see them online, the transferred points retain their home resort and UY so you have to figure that out, some MS CM's count it as one, others as two.

Admit I've never bothered with a transfer between my accounts. Was thinking though it should be a bit easier to keep track of if i can lump the new AK points into the October UY membership at least.

I Would surely need to amp up keeping track of said points if they aren't reflected online.

To be clear: Once the October AKV points would be transferred over to the Dec AKV membership, I should be able to combine the points & make one reservation at the 11 month window vs two (as it would go if i waited until the 7 month window/attempting to use non-home resort points).

Thanks

Transferring allows you to mix the points for a single days reservation, Linking would allow you to use Oct and December points as separate reservations but you wouldn't have to change rooms.

Transferring may have improved but our account was so screwed up after we transferred between our accounts a few years ago, we vowed never to transfer again. It took several days for MS management to find our lost points.

Yikes! This really discourages us from transferring points between our contracts. Sounds like the easiest thing to do is to book separate reservations and then to have them linked.

Correct, you can combine the points to make one reservation. But remember that you would still have to call in to use the transferred points to make any reservations.

Had forgotten that, thanks
