resale purchase question

Hello: DH and I are weighing our DVC purchase options and I have a question that I'm sure someone here can answer. I've seen it stated that you must purchase 150 points to be a DVC member. I realize that is the minimum one can purchase direct from DVC (unless an add-on). However, I've seen many resale contracts for 100 points, a few for 120 points. Would a purchase at this point level via resale convey "membership" status, or not?

Others have posted that they bought as little as 50 points resale as thier initial contract with no problem. If you get a card you are a member so 50 points would do it!

You can buy any number of points resale and be a member, even 25.
