Resale points and Disney bought points

We have 800 points at AKV and BLT that we purchased directly from Disney with a February use year. We are now buying 160 SSR points resale with a June use year. Will these points show up on my dvcmember.com account? How exactly do resale and direct points interact? Can they be used together in the 7 month window?

Yes, all of your DVC contracts will show up on the member website and all may be used for reservations at 7 months. If you transfer points from one contract to the other, they can seamlessly be used at 7 months - but they can also be used at 7 months without transfer as long as some whole nights are reserved from one contract and the rest from the other.

They will only show up if the memberships are deeded the same. We have 2 memberships, Oct BWV and Dec VWL, deeded the same and I can manage those with one login. We added an Oct SSR membership and it was deeded with the addition of our son's name. This membership has to have its own login. Kind of a pain and wish there was a way to include it with the others, but according to IT support there is not. (at least not in 2008 when we purchased the SSR membership.)

I can access the first two (not deeded the same) with one login but need a second (different) login for the last one. Deeded the same or not does not seem to be the answer.

Lets say I want to stay at BWV but I only have enough points for 4 nights
but I would like 7 nights.
I call at 7 months and 4 days. (I don't know if online reservations would do this).
I ask for a 7 day reservation using both the BWV points for 4 nights and the OKW points for the remaining 3 nights. No transfer necessary, since the 3
nights from the OKW points would fall within the 7 months window.
This way I won't have to wait at the 7 months window, and I would have a heads up on the 7 month crowd.
Hopefully, I got this staight. I never really thought about this before but now I know.

Very interesting. Do you remember what reason they gave you for needing the 2nd login?

Yes, that would work (based on availability), but since you own points at BWV you can reserve that portion of the reservation at 11 months and then try for the remaining dates at 7 months.

yes we can. we have 3 memberships, 2 are linked to one log-in and the 3rd has a separate log-in. I have to log out of one to see the other.

Same for me. I don't remember why. I think because the last was a direct purchase from another member (my oldest son needed help so DW and I purchased it directly from him)
