Resale member stay at Riviera by transferring points

I understand that a resale members cannot use their points to book at Riviera nor the new resorts.
The question is, if I purchase transfer points with Riviera as a home resort from DVC-Rent/Transfer forum here, can I book Riviera using those transferred points?

You should be able to yes. Because your own membership doesn’t have access to that resort, it may require a call to MS vs being able to do it online.

My understanding is that all bookings with transferred points need to be done via member services. I transferred in points once and while that resort now showed up in my dashboard the points did not.

I have used them during then7 month window online without issue.
