Resale Contract and Borrowing Points?

This is probably a dumb question, so sorry in advance

If we purchased a resale contract that didn't give us points until fall 2013, could we go ahead and borrow them to make a reservation to use in early 2013?

Yes you can, once the sale is complete and the contract is in your name. You should be paying less for a contract like this, but you probably already know that.

just remember that borrowing, like banking, is a "final" transaction. once you move the pts, they cannot be put back.

Hmm..thanks for the information. About how much per point would you take off for not getting points until then?
