I've been a resale shopper for decades, long before it was mainstream. ;)and even I am blown away by the recent deals I've scooped up at my local Salvation Army and Goodwill Stores:worship:Christopher and Banks, Chico's, Under Armour, Ralph Lauren Label, Polo! and disney...everything from vintage salad set of porcelain and wood to a snow globe of Pooh to a Little Mermaid working desk-top fountain to hats to exclusive park mugs:lmao:If you aren't a resale shopper yet, check them out. every town/city has some home grown shops as well that are real gems. Some are sponsored by churches, some by not for profit groups. Stores usually have monthly special sales: $1 or $1.23 for goodwill; 79cents day for Salvation Army; our local resale shop does a $3 a bag every season as they clear the store for the next one....I admit loving all the compliments, especially down at WDW--I shop for outfits just to wear when I'm on vacation there. Have some no-guilt shopping pleasure--give one a call tomorrow to get the next sale date:thumbsup2

A few weeks ago my goodwill was putting out new, unisex summer sandals from Target last year. My sister has 4 year old twins and a 2 year old so I just got their current sizes the next few sizes up @ 1.79 each. They should be set for the next couple summers!

You are soooo lucky.

I've shopped Goodwill for years and really noticed the quality of the donations at the one I've gone to has really gone downhill. Combine that with more people shopping at them and I very seldom find great buys anymore.

I was in last week and didn't even find anything I was remotely interested in. I also went to the Thrift shop 3 doors down from the Goodwill and while they did have some lovely Nortake china, there wasn't much else I was interested in. And since I didn't need china, I left that good deal for someone else.

Good luck to everyone else. I hope you find some great deals like the OP did!

I have found some awsome Disney deals at two different stores near me.
Brand new Caribbean Beach Resort photo album at Goodwill $2.49.
Black patten leather looking Mickey mouse purse Disney Parks Original. Not a great deal at $20 but my daughter really wanted it for her birthday.

Than my other favorite Thrift store
Brand new Epcot sweatshirt(large spaceship earth with icons from each of the Epcot rides) $2.00
7 pcs Hercules trading pins for $4.95 (thought about trading but kids want to keep them now)

Other things: 2 pcs bnwt Under Armor pants and sweatshirt $14.95 for the set- this is still sold in the stores and the sweatshirt was on sale for $30.
