Lost my resale to Disney.

100 points at BWV for $69.75 per point with a December use year.
It took three weeks to get the decision.

I guess I will regroup and may go ahead and get BCV with MB. Maybe this will be a blessing in disguise as I will buy 50 extra points through Disney than on this resale.

Sorry to hear that, Tiberius. Good luck though with whatever you decide to purchase! :)

IS some way, wasn't it a blessing?

When you add in closing costs, were you only going to save $1.50 per point?

do you value Disney Financing? or Credit Card Rebates??

Bummer! :( Oh and that's bad news to my BWV resale waiting for a decision - it's at $69.00 per point. Ugh!

Thanks to all for your support (condolences).

By the way the $69.75/point in my offer included SELLER paying closing costs.

do you think DVC was even more attracted to excercise ROFR
since seller had to pay closing costs

It is likely they realized that my resale equated to $66 per point after removing the $375 closing costs.

This shows why it makes perfect sense for Disney to buy back contracts. They will now sell you the BCV points and already have a line that is a mile long waiting to buy the BWV points. They are probably already sold at $84.00 per point.

I'm glad things will work out for you with the BCV's.

I guess I'm a bit lost on this ROFR thing.
IF you were trying to sell it on the resale market and Disney bought it, then WHY is that bad? You wanted to sell it and you did, right?

Nope the original poster was BUYING the resale.

Tinkrbell,

CarolA is right, I was the purchaser for this deal. Sorry if I was not clear on that.

Im sorry you didnt get the resell, but at least you can still get the BCV.
Good luck.

wait, i thought if you offered $69.75/pt and seller was paying closing costs... then the "real" price is exactly $69.75/pt.

why would you subtract $375 to get $66/pt. that doesn't make sense.

It has been posted on these boards by others that Disney takes all financial factors into account for ROFR. I was just portraying another way to view the transaction, which might have given insight into the buyback.
