The simple answer; It depends. Both are equal in terms of making you a member. Resale will usually get you a good bargain on the price and allows you to choose which resort to buy at. Buying from Disney allows you to finance very easily through them, not have to wait to hear if you passed right of first refusal and gets you into the system pretty much right away.
