We have booked reservations for Le Cellier Steakhouse during the candlelight processional. Does anyone know if there is a dress code for this restaurant? Are there any dress codes for any of the restaurants at WDW?

There is not a dress code at Le Cellier. Many restaurants say smart casual (not Le Cellier) or something like that, but I've seen people wearing shorts in those restaurants. People wear everything. Victoria and Albert's requires a jacket for men.

I love Le Cellier - yum!

If you walk in with your badger t shirt or polo shirt or sweatshirt on and they wont let you in, then you didnt want to eat there anyway. go badgers!!

At this point in time, the only required (and enforced) dress code is at V&A, where men must wear a coat. Show up w/o one and they'll lend you one of theirs.
At LeCellier, "theme park casual" will be just fine.

when I called for PS at CG they told me guys have to have a collered shirt, no T shirts at all. :)

I saw tee shirts......

I made ADR for CG in one week and I was told when I made the ressie that the dress code had changed from Resort Casual to Business Casual and that no one would be allowed in if they were wearing: Flip Flops, tank tops, t-shirts, shorts, bathing attire or bathing cover ups. The CM stated that this was a new and enforced policy.

Hmmm....my impression was that they were going to start to enforce the dress code!!!

Our family loves formal dining and dressing...so it really does not matter if others are comfortable going more casual....it does not really lessen our experience!!!

Glad to hear that.
And who knows--they may some day actually get around to enforcing this code. Actually (wrong tho it is), that would be better for everyone. At least all this confusion would end, and folks would know for sure if they had to dress up.
Always sad to see a post from someone who really didn't want to dress up for dinner (but THOUGHT they had to), then arrive at the restaurant and see that they really didn't!!

I'm really wondering - if I show up at the CA Grill in a skirt and shirt, and have flip flops on, are they really going to turn me away? they're not rubber flip flops, they're nice, fabric ones. Is anyone really looking at my feet? I promise not to put them up on the table, I swear!

No,they won't. The dress code is to deter people from showing up in ripped clothing and bathing attire. If you look neat and presentable you will have no problem at all.

Thanks everyone for your input. It would not of bothered us if we would of had to dress with collars. A jacket for men may have been a problem, but otherwise we dont mind. (Stuffing a suit jacket in a suitcase is not a pretty site when it is pulled out regardless of how you pack it) :rotfl:

I would like to see some restaurants enforce a dress code of no bathing suits, no torn shirts and/or pants. Last time we were at Disney I saw a lady wearing shorts that were ripped in the butt area (no underwear on) and she was wearing a skimpy biki top. This alone for Disney is certainly in my opinion not appropriate and then to sit in a restaurant can be distasteful. Just my opinion....

No argument there--swimwear and torn clothing are probably off everyones list.

Just returned from a week in Disney and wanted to report what I saw in regards to the new dress code. At the Flying Fish on 8/20, dress codes not enforced at all. There was actually a woman wearing a bikini top and a sarong with flip flops. I asked the hostess about the new dress code and she said that until there is a sign on the door stating the new dress code, she was not going to enforce it. We also dined at the California Grill and I saw many wearing flip flops, T shirts and shorts. We did get dressed up, but it was not necessary.
