Requests on booking.......

What are people's experiences of making requests on booking, have you recieved them or not? I have a disability so am requesting a ground floor room and the nearer to facilities as possible.....we will be staying at AoA in November, thank you!

Personally, I have never gotten my request when I have put them on the reservation. But, I have been able to get a room change when I check in to get as close to my requests as possible.

Are you staying in a Little Mermaid Room? Or a Family Suite?

The LM rooms are the furthest from the lobby/food/buses. None of the rooms are close. But request building 7 or 9 as they are the closest.

At the GF we stayed once and had a great room. Second stay, I called hotel directly 5 days out then again the day before and requested exact same room as first stay... we got it.

WL stayed twice. Both times requested a specific room and got it both times.

I'm not sure the layout at AoA. But if you booked an accessible room and call a few days ahead of scheduled arrival, they will try to honor that request.

I have read that it is better to request a location (like first floor that you want) than a specific room like I did. You have a greater chance of getting your request with a broader request.
