Requests for Studio at OKW

[Certifiable WDW Nut]

Looks like we (DH, DD (19 mos) and me) will be heading to WDW for a few days beginning 7/4 and leaving 7/7. YEA!!! I got a studio at OKW but we've never been there before so I had no idea what to request in regards to a room location. I'm tempted to ask for a first floor room so we don't have to carry the stroller and DD up the stairs, but... I HATE bugs. Are the bugs a significant issue with 1st floor rooms? Also I don't want to be too far from a pool. Finally, I would rather not have a room where we can hear the buses going by all hours. I know--lots of requirements and questions, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have never noticed any bug difference from the ground floor to one of the upper floors. We have stayed at almost every neighborhood at OKW. Each has benefits. Buildings 53 thru 56 are way down back, near a neighborhood pool, close to a bus stop and have access to the trail to DD and DI. Buildings 41 thru 44 are similarly located on Turtle Pond Rd but the local pool is a little larger.
Take a look at the OKW map and make a choice. It shows all bus stops and pools. Remember all buses need to do a turn around past all bus stops watch for trafic circles near bldgs 20, 40 & 5

If you get a room in the most recently built buildings, there is an elevator to go to the upper floors.
