Requests for rooms at ASMovies

My dad needs a room on the bottom floor, which is stated in our reservations but he also needs a room that is close to the food court and the main building. He has health problems that make walking distances, especially after being in the parks all day, a problem. We are trying to talk him into getting a wheelchair but he is not to into that idea !!! How likely are they to accomidate us in this request? We have 4 rooms since our whole family is going. Thanks.

Aren't the buildings near the main building preferred and cost more? This isn't a request but is an acutal room category. BOOK IT and request first floor. Decide how many rooms have to be connecting and how near they have to be to each other.

I would get a letter from the Dr. to assure your request, I am sure many people call and say things to get a prime room. I do understand, I have a 13 year old son with a muscle disease, and we are very careful not to tire him out. He, like your father would not think about a wheel chair as long as he can still walk. Have a great time.

A letter from a doctor won't necessarily assure the request - especially for the resorts that have an additional category (at a higher price) for the rooms that are closer to the food court.
If you are concerned about him walking at the resort, he will have a hard time at the parks. He might agree to an ECV - which would give him more independence and he would not have to rely on anyone to push him. Click the link in my signature to get to the disABILITIES Board for more information.
