Requests and RCI rental

We rented DVC through RCI and I would like to make a room request, how would I do that? Should I call WL or DVC member services? Can you even make requests for DVC??

Also any requests I should make for VWL?? We have a 2 bedroom reserved. Any rooms that you can catch a glimpse of Wishes??

The views at VWL are woods views or maybe a pool view, that's about it. The trees and WL block your line of sight for Wishes.

You would contact DVC Member Services. Their phone number should be on your RCI confirmation. When you call, tell them you have an inbound RCI exchange.

You can also add one of the dining plans to the reservation. You would need to pay for that when you add it. If you do decide to add a dining plan, it must be done at least 2 days prior to your arrival date.

The only way to catch a glimpse of Wishes from VWL is to stand out on the boat dock.

Do you mean you rented directly through RCI -- like an RCI Extra Vacation?

Or did you rent an RCI/DVC exchange from a timeshare owner who exchanged into DVC to get the reservaion?

Not really. It's a small resort with mostly woods views.

Call DVC member services to make requests. For RCI weeks it'd be on the confirmation, for RCI points you'll need to call RCI to get it. If it's only been a few days, wait until next Tues or after to contact them, if it's been one a week, you should be OK calling now. follow the prompts like you're a member doing an exchange and you'll get to the right place.

I hope you mean you exchanged your own timeshare or your own RCI points for DVC.

The reason I asked that question is that it is against both RCI and DVC policies for a timeshare owner to rent an RCI exhange reservation to someone else. If a transaction like that is detected by either RCI or DVC, they may cancel the reservation.

WL is such a lovely resort you probably won't even notice the lack of a view.

When we stayed there last December I requested close to the elevator. The hallway is super looong, so it was nice to not have to walk all the way down to the end.

That's funny. If you think that hallway is super looong, you've never stayed at AKV or BWV.
