Requesting WDW Recipes

Hi all. We just returned from another great visit to Walt Disney World. We purchased the Chef Mickey Treasures cookbook that was released last year. I can't wait to try out some of those recipes.

However, there are some WDW recipes that I would still like to get my hands on. I thought I saw a blog or some other web link about 2 or 3 months ago where WDW resort now has a recipe request form that can be faxed (and I also believe email) to the resort. The recipe would then be sent to you a few days later. Am I recalling this correctly? I hope someone can help me out. Thanks.

I am pretty positive that you can go on allears and they have the recipes on there..

I remember seeing a post on the Disney Food Blog about the new recipe request cards at Disneyland. I haven't seen anything about the cards being at WDW, but hopefully they have a similiar system. As the PPs recommended, I would try emailing guest service.

I have emailed WDW in the past for recipes. Sometimes I was successful, sometimes not. The times that I was not successful, they still replied but were unable to give me the recipe due to the item not being made or entirely made onsite. When the whole thing is made onsite, they will email the recipe to you.

Last week, my husband asked our waitress at The Wave if the recipe for their bread was available. She said to leave an email address for the chef because "part of his job is to email recipe requests out every night after closing."

Really? That sounded a little weird to us, but we left the email address.

A week later, still no bread recipe!

When we find a dish we like, we always ask the wait staff if the recipe is available. 98% of the time they are able to either give us something (although sometimes it is for something like 10 servings so you have to break it down) or the recipe is emailed to us. The other 2% the Chef either comes out to talk to us about preparing the dish (because there is no "recipe") or we don't receive anything.

Bottom line - ask while you are in the restaurant.

We saw them all over the place. We probably saw it in at least a dozen shops. We stayed at POR and we picked our up at PORs gift shop.
