Requesting village at Orange Lake??

What is the best way to go about requesting a village at Orange Lake? We will be using an RCI exchange, and I am wondering what kind of successes you have had making these requests. Do you request through RCI, or do you call the resort directl? TIA.

everyone mileages seems to vary

exchangers are suppost to be assigned to the west village with owners on exchange getting to ask for other villages

if you call they will tell you they cannot take requests unless you are an owner, however, others have said they have been able to request at check in....so who knows...they have policy but do not seem to go by it....

the only part of the resorf you will "not" be able to get into will be the new River Island ( only onwers there can stay there ).....it does not mean you cannot use the river island facilities....just you cannot get a unit in that section
