I know that when you make a reservation that you reserve a time for dining and not a table per se,
but when you check-in at the hostess stand...

Can you request a certain table or area in the dining room?

If so,
How many people have done this with success?
Did the CMs give you any trouble?

How much longer did you have to wait to get your requested table?

I imagine certain tables (like those by the window facing the castle in Ohana or those on the patio at Tony's during a parade) are hard to get.

Thanks in advance for all responses.

Definately cause a lot of people would like them.

We have done this many times.

Did the CMs give you any trouble? No, you just have to be prepared to wait if necessary.

We have waited up to 45 minutes for a table we really wanted....Illuminations view.

See my above answer ;)

I found that the CM's will accomodate you on ANY request as long as they can.

The few times we have gone right when a place opens we have been able to get a seat that we prefer

Good to know. I hoping to get a window or very close to the window seat at Ohana so my mom can see the castle while she dines. We'll see how it goes!

There are exceptions. Rose and Crown will seat you at "first available" and not permit you to wait for a patio table for Illuminations. If you insist, they will suggest you find another place to dine.
