Requesting Rooms, what are the chances?

Staying at POR startig on Friday. I did put in a request (though just yesterday) that we be put in Magnolia Bend.

What are the odds that it goes through? Just curious. We booked last minute. I called CR and asked when rooms are assigned, etc. and they just told me to put in a request. That rooms were filled the day of check in.

It depends on who's checking out that day. The CMs try to meet requests but if only 3 rooms in Magnolia Bend are checking out the day you check-in and 10 guests have requested Magnolia Bend - the first 3 would have their requests met.

Of course what if all three rooms leave at 11AM? If you check-in at 10 AM they'll tell you there's nothing available unless you want to wait. Usually I would rather get a room right away so I can go play!

I have found the CMs at check-in try very hard to make you happy.

Thanks. I actually called in yesterday and put in a request for Magnolia Bend and forgot to request a king size bed and smoking.

Called back today and asked for that as well.

I booked through an agent, so Disney would not change that for me. But my agent is calling the resort now and trying to pull some strings. And explaining the sheer lunacy of the last few days that I've had suring up this reservation...

Every little bit helps.
