Requesting room at HOJO when booked through getaway?

Ok I'm a newbie and I've been looking for the answer to this with no luck, so sorry if this is a repeat!

We booked our package through getawaytoday.com with a stay at HoJo's from May 21-26. I tried going directly to their site first but it was listed as sold out so we went this route. Anyway, I've been reading all the threads about the better buildings to request, etc... can I do that with these type of reservations? Or is that something you have to do at booking time or only straight reservations through HoJo?
Also, what would you recommend I request if I can? So far I'm seeing that bld 4 and 6 are the best?

You can make a building request, but it is just a request. You are also limited to the type of room that you have paid for - usually with package holidays you are talking about a standard room. I believe Bldgs 3, 4, 5 & 6 are all standard rooms though so you might have very good luck with that specific request.

I book a package through a travel agent and usually just send an email to the HoJo a few weeks before my stay to request a room away from the freeway. That request has been honored every time. Once we were upgraded to a Disney view room.

However, as I posted on another thread, the HoJo has been a little unresponsive to my email this time around. I am inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt as emails do disappear into the ether from time to time. If I don't hear from them in another week, I guess I will have to suck it up and pay for the long distance call.

We booked through travel agent and all we did once all was confirmed is we called Hojo In-House reservations directly and they put our requests onto our booking. They did really well...we got a wonderful view of the pool from building 2...on the opposite side away from the highway and the noise was negligible...nothing a city family can't sleep through and when there was fireworks we walked out our room on the first floor and watched the fireworks right by the pool...no one else was around...like having a private viewing area!

The requests we had were away from highway...and not one of their "top floor" rooms that have HUGE half-circle windows with no blinds/curtains...we have a toddler and trying for naps with a room full of light would have been impossible

Good luck and have a magical time pretty easy with staying @ Hojo and going to DL....

Just to give an update, I sent a second email to the HoJo and got an answer right away. They are going to put my room request on file.

Can't wait to be back there in four weeks.

hmmmm i should check availability with Getaway Hojo' says sold out for my days too.
