requesting menus without prices

I hope he doesn't find out how much the deluxe and platinum plans are, then! :lmao:

The man is an adult, let him order whatever he wants, not what you think he may want.

He certainly will not find out how much I paid for this blow-out celebration. I am trying not to think about it either - it is all paid for now. And I have budgeted for the tips, drinks and incidentals.

It was mostly his idea not to look at the menus. It is more the high prices that would get to him. But the tipping issue, too. As Swan4Me noted, the meal prices are pretty extreme, even to us from the San Francisco Bay area. And if he changes his mind and wants to see the menu (with prices), that will be fine.

I have enjoyed all the responses.

You won't have to worry about the tip at CRT since it's included in the price of the meal. After all these years with the dining plan it has never occured to me to order the lesser priced entree to pay a smaller tip! It's hard for me to not order the most expensive thing to get more bang for my buck instead of what I really want. Have a great time and enjoy your meals!

The OP is going to tip on the actual price of the meal, and thinks her DH will choose the lower-priced items on the menu in order to minimize the amount of tip they would need to leave, I believe.

I can feel for the OP. My Dad was always that way - even if someone else was paying the bill (and often, especially if someone else was paying the bill) he would look for the cheapest thing on the menu, or just order an appetizer, or even ask if he could order off the kids menu, to save money. Many times I knew there were items on the menu he would enjoy much more, but he wouldn't order them because of the cost. The last trip we took to Disney together before he passed, I was treating him and it was an uphill battle to get him to quit looking at the prices and just order what he wanted to.

I hadn't thought about a menu without prices - that would have really come in handy for me.
