Requesting a Server ... Is it possible?

We've just booked the Disney Fantasy for our second Disney cruise. My entire family is so excited but part of what made our last trip great was we loved our server - and we'd like to repeat that experience. If he's still on the Fantasy, we'd like to get him again. Is it possible to request a server? Any idea of the likelihood of success?

You can always request. But it is just that. No guarantees.

Yes, you can request a server. I think the chances of you getting that server are pretty good though I've never tried it myself. I don't know how to set it up but I do know for a fact that you can request servers and that the probability of you getting that server is good.

You can contact DCL using the Contact Us links on the site, or your TA can do it if you are using one.

It is just a request but assuming the cast member is still on the ship, the odds are pretty good they can make it happen. If you make further dining requests, such as head server, asst server, rotation, that can muddy the waters.

You definitely increase your chances by making ONE server - not the team you had as they may no longer be a team - your only request. No rotation. No "just us" table. The more requests on the reservation the harder to meet all of them, and not knowing what was most important you may get your least important OR none.

Yes you can. We requested a server for our last cruise and got our request. We got our TA to put the request in. We had no other requests. We also knew he was going to be onboard as he had given us his email address the last time we saw him (he wasn't our server that time).

Yes! Last year we found out that a server we adored from our 10 day cruise in 2010 was on board. We found him, celebrated, requested, and got him. It was downright wonderful. :lovestruc

You bet you can...in fact, once we had some servers ask us to request them next time we sailed. We had really hit it off. We did sail about 2 months later, and just called DCL who took care of it.

That's so good to know. Our server made such a difference in our trip - I'm sure there are many that are just as good, but we'd love to have him again.

We've requested a server twice (talked the server before requesting to make sure he was on board), and both times we were granted our request. However, it is a request and not guaranteed.

We requested a few servers...I had a list of people good with food allergies...so I said any one of them would work...we got none and had terrible servers. Wah Wah...
