Requesting a room/location at TS restaurants

Is there a way to put a request for table location for a TS restaurant? My daughter has some sensory issues, so anytime we can be seated at the outer edge of a restaurant (vs. in the center) she does a lot better. I'm also specifically thinking of our BOG dinner - as much as I would love to be in the room where it's storming, that will likely freak her out. THANKS!

You can make a request at the podium. Some restaurants will try to accommodate you & others will decline, even if you're willing to wait - because then everyone would want to wait for "the ideal table," etc. I'm not sure how it will go at BOG but the West Wing is very small and is a popular request to be in, not to avoid. I think you have a very good chance.

Thanks! I was hoping there would be a way to write it on our ADR, but what you said makes sense - if you could request a spot, everyone would do it. The only one I'm worried about is BOG. The rest I feel like we'll ask nicely and hope for the best. :)

I'm sure if you explain the special circumstances and that this isn't just a "we want that table" type of request, the CMs will do everything they can to oblige.

If you are doing BOG for breakfast or lunch, it's QS and you pick your own table so you are covered there.

I just went to make a fake ADR to see if it were possible and the only special requests were dietary or wheel chair, it did have a phone number to call to request anything else so maybe you can call that and explain the situation and see what they can do.

We were able to make a request at Coral Reef, they should they would do their best to accommodate us (and did), i'm sure if you explained the situation they could probably make it happen :)

Thanks - we're doing dinner at BOG. I'll give the number a call next week to see if they can make a note.

You can make a request at the podium.

1) The podium person (aka, SEATER) can send a text to the ASSIGNER from the check-in computer.
2) The ASSIGNER does not have to follow the request of the SEATER, but sometimes tries.
3) Once assigned, you take what you are assigned.
4) They will try to accommodate, but, remember, there are lots of other requests.
5) In most cases, no request is more important than another.
6) If sensory issues is a problem, maybe you should select eateries with less crowds or smaller venues.
7) But, please remember, in order to have faster table "turnover" few eateries at WDW are quiet, or have noise-absorbing devices.
8) In the "Food Biz" and scientifically speaking,
. . . the colder the eatery, the more people eat sand drink
. . . the noisier the eatery, the quicker they eat and leave and allow the table to be given to another paying patron.

NOTE: BoG for breakfast and lunch are seat-yourself, so any request for a quiet area CANNOT be observed by the staff. Others can sit near you without assistance from an ASSIGNER or SEATER. So, even if you are near an outer edge, a LOUD and BOISTEROUS group could seat themselves adjacent to you table. For dinner, you might get lucky, but ask at the podium and not via phone call, as notes on an ADR are frequently overlooked..

At Raglan toad at Disney springs, we always ask for main room and wait until available. My husband is very picky about where he sits and generally refuses to sit in middle of room anywhere. So I always let him go to table first and we have turned down many tables and waited longer for the perfect spot. They are always very accommodating
