Hi.

I'm sure this has been asked before, sorry in advance.

Long story short- my parents want a semi-private "just-the-two-of-us" kind of a dinner, but if my sister (who is going to be 14) was to be separated from our parents in Walt Disney World, her anxiety would be severely triggered. The compromise we have arrived at is trying to book 2 tables for all four of us so that my sister and I are in the same restaurant, but my parents still feel like they're on a little dinner date, just the two of them. How do we go about requesting this on the Disney website? Do we have to make two separate reservations? Or do we just say we'd like two separate tables on the special requests form?

TIA.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but my thinking is if you are trying to go for dinner you will need two separate reservations. Dinner reservations are kept track of by how many tables they have which dictates how many reservations they can take at a given time. So, if you put that you need two tables in the special request field (which they might not look at until your trip gets closer) they might not have enough room available. Making two separate reservation insures that they have tables for everyone. However, since lunch works differently I think you'd be ok with doing 1 reservation of 4 and just sitting at two separate tables since it's seat yourself at lunch.

Since you want separate tables you would make 2 reservations, but they will have to be under different names and MDE accounts.
