I could have sworn in the past you could request rooms nearby (already linked in mde) upon online check in, but I only see request about early entry and ground floor etc..can I request this somewhere?

I called and had it added. Also reiterated when we got there. We were across the hall from each other.

Definitely call. Disney can also make a traveling with notation on your reservation, this is a good step to take in case Disney looks at moving you to another resort for operational reasons to try to keep your party together (that is admittedly very rare, but still).

You're not wrong. For a (very) short time, you could note on the reservation that you wanted to be near to another party. That was very short-lived for some reason and now, it's best to call.

Oh they tried lots of options on the Online Check-in but they did not bother to add any constraints that checked room views or booking categories. For example you could select the Hawaii building without being a CL booking.

Now you can see why they gave up and went back to the generic requests.

Thanks all, will give them a shout..we're a couple weeks out, Im guessing maybe I wait another week or so?

I link the reservations and tell MS we are traveling together when I make the reservation.

Always were pretty close to each other. Good luck!

I would just call or message now. You want both a "traveling with" notation on both rooms and a request for adjoining rooms (although adjoining could just mean in the same building or on the same floor or what have you)

I always call at least ten days or more ahead of time to request rooms close to each other when traveling with family. They always ask if I have the reservation number, name, email, etc, of the other group. I have always gotten rooms close together - most of the time connecting. The only time we weren't next to each other was when my sister requested a corner room in additional to being close to each other. You need to make only the one request to improve the chance of it being granted. :)

We always make that request by phone.

When making that request we do the original booking by phone, then call about 2 weeks in advance to make sure the notation is there.

We have always been accommodated. A couple times we had 3 rooms next to each other. We have also had 4 next to each other and once 5.

Another recommendation to call your request in. I messaged me request in for our upcoming trip and when o called to make a payment, I asked the CM if my request had been added—it had not so I’m glad I asked about. And I’ve had zero time on hold lately. The longest “wait” I’ve had was going through the phone tree.

Also, the number of people who didn't pay attention to the "NOT GUARANTEED" clause (I mean, we still get reports here from people who didn't get their requests met) was probably pretty large and the poor CMs at the desk had to deal with a lot of really angry people who thought putting that on their check-in meant that's what they were getting.

I had checked in online about two months before our trip. Two weeks before our trip I did the chat on the app. I indicated we would like a higher level floor and be near our daughter and son-in-law. The chat reiterated what I was requesting and indicated our request was being submitted. We were staying at the Yacht Club and got the 4th floor and our daughter and son-in-law were next door to us. Hope it works for you and have a great trip.

We used the touring site last year to make our request. I listed three room numbers and we received one of them. I did try to call but it seemed like I couldn't get anywhere.

We use Touring Plans and I call to make a note on our reservation to have our rooms next to each other.

I have had great luck the last few years with TP and getting exactly, if not very close to what we requested. Specifically at Pop Century, Beach Club, Boardwalk Villas and AKL Kidani.
