Request for prayers and pixie dust

My Dsil emailed last night with a prayer request for the 8 year old daughter of her friend. They jsut found out she has cancer 11 days ago. They found out she has a tumor called a sarcoma. The name of her disease is Rhabdomyosarcoma. She is in the hospital receiving Chemo and they are hoping to shrink the tumor, which is the size of a lemon behind her ear, enough to do surgery. She is still to weak to come home, but they are hoping she can by Friday. They are trying to get her to eat a bit more before they release her.

I have a young friend who has this, in fact he is fighting it for a second time. The chemo is very effective and even tho he is tired, all his tumors are gone so he doesn't even need surgery. Prayers for the little girl.

Pain and illness in a child is the worse thing.

My nephew who just turned 3 is going through Chemo for Lymphoma so I know how frightening it can be. My nephew is finally doing very well and if you saw him you'd never know anything was wrong with him. He still has 3 years to go before they will even entertain saying remission.

Prayers for the family! It's a scary time!
