I know this is a bit cheeky but as we're celebrating dd's 6th birthday at DLP I am thinking about buying most of her gifts when we're there to avoid taking too much with us.

If anyone is able to or has recently bought any merchandise would they mind letting me know if they've seen anything good for a 6yo and roughly how much things were?!?

I had a look in Disney Store yesterday (I know the merchandise is generally different) and I'm looking at possibly getting dd a new Minnie outfit as she's outgrown hers, the winter one was £50 :scared1: it did have a nice cape and long sleeves I think. If not Minnie a new costume will be on the gift list.

Also dd has asked for the Rapunzel and Flynn dolls, has anyone seen these at dLP? I'm thinking I will buy her a couple of ds games and take those in the case.

Can you buy birthday balloons in the park? I can't remember I'm sure I saw some giant helium ones being sold when were there last time?

Any help gratefully received

Can anyone help? :)

I'd suggest getting the costume at the Disney Store over here ~ as a general rule the costumes are cheaper here than there. Keep checking Disney Store online because they're bound to reduce that costume ~ if not after Christmas it's bound to be reduced before your trip!!

Hi, we went begining of November and i was in the same situation my dd turned 4 the day we went she wanted a Princess Tiana dress and doll we got her dress from the Disneystore here, it cost £25 im so glad we did as the dress there was about 59 euro's i think, we did give her the money to go and buy the doll there she felt very grown up buying the doll herself lol.

Regarding the Rupunzel doll i did see these over there i think they were about 19 euro's, perhaps someone can help more on price, i don't remember seeing the Flynn doll, but i was not looking again someone else may be able to help. They also had the Rupunzel dresses for sale again about 59 euro's.
I hope i was a little help

I was there last week and they definitely had Rapunzel dolls and costumes. Think the dolls were around 19 euros. Not sure about the costumes, but they're usually a fortune. I saw a lovely winter Cinderella dress that i thought my goddaughter would love...... It was 99 euros :scared1:

The only balloons I've ever seen are the giant mickey and Minnie ones.

Sorry I can't be more help x

Have to agree on the costumes I'm afraid. They are HUGELY expensive at DLP. There was one quite basic Aerial wedding dress for 45 euro, all the others were around the 60 or 70 euro mark and yes the winter ones with the capes were 100 euro.

To make it even worse we took a day trip into Paris and of course had to pay a visit to the Disney Store on the Champs Elysees and the costumes there had both the sterling and euro prices on them. The dresses that were marked 30 sterling were costing 56 euro!!! I don't know what currency coverter they're using but that's way off. 30 sterling should only be about 36 euro. (This is nothing unusual to us here in the Republic of Ireland. All the top UK stores do this to us. Go into any of the major UK department stores here in Dublin and the price tag will often have 30 sterling and 60 euro on the same tag!! No doubt when Dublin's first ever Disney store opens in a few weeks it will be the same here. Anyway, I digress.)

So yes buy the costume before you go and sneak it into your suitcase. They did have the Rapunzel dolls, as everyone said they were about 20 euro but I have no recollection of seeing a Flynn doll anywhere.

It was my DDs 6th birthday 2 days before we arrived at DLP so we organised dinner at the Auberge and organised a cake. Even though the princesses always come over one by one to everyone in the restaurant it was great that they all surrounded the table to sing Happy Birthday when the cake arrived and then DD had her photo taken with them all at the same time. The cake was 25 euro but the meal is expensive at 59 euro for an adult and the food is not to everyone's taste. As far as I know most of the sit down restaurants will organise a cake if you want and the ones that do character meals will get a character or two to come over while singing happy birthday.

If you want to make sure you can get both rapunzel and flynn I would get the flynn doll before you go from disney store (£12) just to make sure then get the other rapunzel things once you are there :)

When we go in just over a week  I am sure our daughter will be looking for all the rapunzel things so I will make a note of it and costs etc if you like?

Thanks so much for the responses

I know the dresses will be expensive over there, from what I remember from June they weren't that great either! I am going to keep my eye on the Minnie dress .... I have never yet caught a Disney sale I look and look and then forget one day and there you go missed it lol I may just fork out the full £50 as I know I will end up paying out 90 euro for one at DLP.

The plan is to do Auberge the day before her birthday just dd, mum and I. Then Cafe Mickey on her actual birthday when her dad will be paying us a visit at DLP, he is more a steak and chips kinda guy than the food on offer at Auberge

I would like to get dd a Rapunzel dress so if anyone is able to see or remember the cost of one I would appreciate it .... I am hoping maybe M&S bring one out I always love their outfits.
