I am holding a reservation on the FL-to-CA repositioning cruise for DH and I, and my folks. My brother and his wife would like to join us, but can't commit at this time. If all goes well, they are scheduled to undergo an in-vitro soon, and might be new parents next year! The May cruise might be cutting it close for the 12-week-old age requirement. Should I try to switch the ressies to the CA-to-FL cruise? The baby would be 6 months by August.

For those of you who have taken infants on a cruise, is 14-days too long? Also, should they be concerned about visiting ports of call?

Infants are so portable at 6 Months and younger that I think it would be fine! My Daughter was 10 months when we took her on her first DCL, and she had a great time. I think that a younger child would do even better.

They might want to consider the vast amount of baby supplies they would need to bring for a fourteen day cruise. True, they sell diapers and such onboard, but it may not be the brand or price they want.
