Reported Because I was bad at playing a game?????

How and why would anyone report someone because they were not a very good player in a game. I started a pirate's game and this guy joined. I am not very good, thus the reason I keep playing. He kept telling me "You stink" and stuff like that then he reported me because I was not good? What?????

I am very upset, I have never been reported before and because I was not good at a game? Are you serious? He said that he had a friend that was a Host and sent them a message. I am so upset about this.

I wouldn't worry about it. If he reports you for not playing well alone, he will get a message back asking him not to abuse the report button

People can report others for anything they want, but staff won't do anything unless someone broke VMK values. It sounds like you weren't the one to break values, the guy was. Saying someone stinks doesn't really seem nice, and I hope that if this person really does have a host for a friend, that host tells them just how not nice that is.
I have been told a few times that the in game report is for emergencies only, and if he is a friend of a host he should know that as well. Unless it is about a real problem in VMK, I think that the only actions the host might take concerning his message (if he is the friend of a host and sent a message) would be to tell him to play nice in Pirates or maybe remove him from the host's friend list since he probably doesn't belong there.
As far as not being good at pirates, it sounds like you're working to improve, and that's really all you can do. Practice playing, and watch how other people play. I really wish there was an ignore button in Pirates. Between the players who can't be nice, and the ones who keep talking a lot and cover up most of the screen with their words, it would really be useful to just be able to ignore people in pirates sometimes.

I know who you are talking about. He did the same thing to me. He was making comments about how he always chooses a bad team and stuff. He was being totally rude! I reported him, but nothing can or will be done about it. From now on, I will be careful and not play a game that he is in.

Others have addressed your main concern about the "report" and they are 1005 correct. I just wanted to add, please dont pay any attention to players that tell you "you stink."

We all are at different levels in the different mini-games within VMK. Play any game you want, as long as you try your best when other players are on your team. That's all that matters.

If you are good, just laugh to yourself at them. If you have room for improvement and want to get better, just work at it.

And, again, dont worry about the "report" - you cant get in trouble for still learning.

I echo, don't even worry about it! I doubt he'll even report, he probably is just saying that to get a reaction out of you! I met someone in game today who asked to trade and said "Its my be day, give me a present" and when I told him no he threatened to report me. THIS IS WHEN I USE MY IGNORE BUTTON rather than even getting into an argument with him! No need to tell him that if he did that he'd get in trouble for sharing personal info and for abusing report...because people like that aren't even worth your time or effort! They are just saying things because they think it is funny to make you unhappy--so don't give them the satisfaction of being unhappy! Keep playing pirates and if you ever want somebody to play with you who won't be mean, just give me a holler!

Thank you, you all have made me feel better. I just had that thing in the back of my mind going, "I can't belive I got reported! And for this!" I really took it to heart.

It happened to me as well. The other player on my team actually called me a cheater when I made an error and fired out of the wrong side of my ship.

Thanks to the advice of people on this board I did my own version of mutiny.
I told my team mate I was learning, that it was level on and because he was mean I was not going to try in the second round.

He did not say another word! Dis people thanks for the great advice. And I must say doing the mutiny made me feel a lot better too!

Listen about the reporting thing you don't get banned unless vmk staff thinks wat you did was bad and it wasn't so that kid will get a message not to abuse report button. so next time just don't worry about ppl reporting you. besides even if they report you for doing bad stuff, staff will check in on it to see wat really happened because they can't just report you for nothing

whenever I click on the hosts it always "please do not ask for a friend request ", so i highly doubt that this person would have a host as a friend unless it was in real life.

Don't worry about it. Someone said they were reporting me for winning fireworks! So it does not matter if you are good or bad at a game They are just sore losers.

Don't worry as everyone else has stated.For one,unless that dude was a CL,there's no way that he could have a HOST as a friend.I know that from asking a Host about it lol.Besides,Nobody stinks at pirates.They're just on a lower level than some people.

yes, like i have said before, hosts do not accept friend requests unless it's in real life .
