Today was finally Magic Kingdom day!!
I tried to trick my husband into getting there early enough for rope drop but we just missed it! We went straight up Main Street (the view of the castle is great without the crowds!) and off the Frontierland! We were the only people on Splash Mountain and it was wonderful! I really forgot what a great ride this was ( I had not been on it in years!). We then went to BTMRR which had no wait. Then off to Haunted Mansion with no wait too. (another ride that I forgot was excellent!). Then to Fantasyland. First was Peter Pan. Then Philharmagic (EXCELLENT SHOW) then Doumbo. The wait for Dumbo was at least 30 minutes (even though it was posted at 15.). I guess the line was not too bad - a little band played near the line the whole time. But that was truly a once in a lifetime ride - I won't wait that long again for that type of ride! Then we picked up FP for Winnie the Pooh and we went to eat. After lunch we still had time before our FP so we went on Snow White (which is ok). We did Pooh, then said good-bye to Fantasyland. We went right to Space Mountain next and waited about 10 minutes to get on. SM is really one of the best rides ever! We got FP on the way out. Then off to Buzz where DH beat all of our scores ( I do not know how, I did the hold your finger on the button trick but he stil got a better score!) Then we did COP. This ride/show was my favorite as a kid and it is still good, my DS liked it too! Then back to Space Mountain (w/o DH) - the TTA which is one of both of my kid's favorites. We then went back to Adventureland to see the Tiki Birds (the new show is good but I also liked the old show!). Then a Citrus Swirl (my absolute favorite MK treat!). Then finally POC. We had a family behind us that kept telling their sons what would happen before it happen then explain it in great detail - this was annoying until I realized that they did not say a word during the auctioning of the "wench" scene - I guess they did not want to explain that! At about 3 pm we said good-bye to the Magic Kingdom - what a great day!
We ate dinner at Fishbones - very good food but very expensive! :wave2:
