Report: "I'm knee-deep in mud, it's incredibly crowded and I'm having a blast Mom!"

That was the gist of a phone call I received from my dd Ashli today. She's attending a three day concert thingie called Ichthus. It was raining so hard this morning they cancelled all concerts until noon. Ash said there is deep mud everywhere. She said they had some sort of problem last night and wouldn't let anyone in so after waiting five hours they were turned away. The parking is three miles from the concert site and you're supposed to shuttle over but they don't have it together and there are not many shuttles so they hoofed it. This is the part I love because it is so Ashli to me: She's laughing during the whole phone call and ends it with "I'm having a blast Mom! It's great!"

OH!!! I LOVE Ichthus.... my nephews are playing there. The band's name is Woodbine..... have Ashli say hi to them from Heidi. They're the twins!!

That is so cool! I called Ash's cell but she didn't have it turned on but I left her a message. That's the best thing about Christian bands, the level of fan to artist interaction is incredible. Ashli has met and even had decently long conversations with some of her favorite bands because they really make themselves available after concerts or before concerts at meet and greets.
