Report button for emergencies only!!

So yesterday I am minding my own business, mixing some songs, I come out and get in line to play my wonderful creation, when on the screen I read, Home less anyone? Followed by.....I will feed you, give you clothes and a house for you to live in, coming from a little VMK boy named Guest (whatever the numbers were). At first, I was like home less hmmm, but then when the part about him feeding you..etc. was read by me......being a mom, I was like ?....No one answered him, I had thought to type something in response but thought that may provoke the situation, so I refrained and continued to watch, he then said....so you all have homes? NO response.....he continued.....If any one does not have a home, please come to me, I will feed you, give you clothes and a home to live in....at this point I reported him, feeling that this is not the type of thing that should be on the VMK site....and although it may have been his type of vmk play....I found it to be an invitation to danger. Call me crazy but I had alarm bells going off in my head therefore I reported him....I get a response back from VMK that said only to use this for emergencies only.......I thought they would at least check this guest out, maybe see what was type of converstations he has, instead they scold me for reporting him. First time I have reported anyone, not the response I expected, was I over-reacting? Has anyone else seen this type of play?

I don't know if this is a reportable offense. I think I might say that I don't think this is what VMK meant for, and if the person was bothering others, i would tell them to use their Ignore buttons.

Also, you may have gotten a standard response regardless of what you reported. They don't want to have people use the Report button because they got booted or something.

I've had the same thing happen to me when reporting something. One wonders what they consider an emergency?

I used the contact button on the front on the front page of VMK to report it. Be sure to write down their name.

Call me crazy, but I don't know too many homeless people with internet access playing VMK.

I probably saw the same person the other day and I did respond- that on VMK no characters were homeless and all had clothing and if they needed more it was very easy to earn more credits by playing music, playing games, and visiting characters.

I got a room full of people agreeing with me and then the person disappeared.

I'm sure off to another room to play the game.

Perhaps Dumpsterdiver should seek out this person

I have gotten the same message many times. This one may shock you, I was very shocked when I saw it. These two girls come walking into the Castle Gardens while I'm just standing there thinking -should I play the fireworks or jungle cruise- and all of a sudden "Mummy I'm hungry", the other girl replies "OK bay be come here -pulls out beast-" and I went I clicked on the "bay be" and her signature says "Beast feeds" if you don't know what she ment by that it's best not to know. I reported them both and both times got "The report button is for Emergencies only" I was like.. How could that not be an emergency they are talking about the "mummy bay be" thing with a human body part!

Oh my gosh is that freaky. And yes, I think that was worth reporting. VMK has lost its mind if it doesn't do anything about that. (But I don't think they will get rid of beast because of Beauty and the Beast...)

I don't know- you can't say Woody and that is a character from Toy Story
so I can see beast disappearing from the dictionary since it is being used that way

Oh I understand the signature only too well....lol.....and would of done the same thing....report....what puzzles me is....I know that no one is homeless if they are on the internet and that all VMK players have a room to call home (which they pick upon starting an account) but what bothered me is what if some kid is not exactly happy at the moment they would of read what he had written and wanted to...lets say change their living arrangments...sometimes people think the grass is greener on the other side of the fence......this was why I reported him....guess I was over reacting.

Hmm... They might have meant the "adoption" stuff. Apparently ( I hope that is spelled right ) VMK wouldn't care either way!

I don't understand what is considered an emergency really. Too many disturbing things have taken place and are obviously not considered "an emergency." Once I was in my sister's room, she had left so I was alone. Then, these two girls come in and one said "I need a doctor." The other girl said "I am a doctor what is the problem" the other said "I am having a baby" (This was when you could still say baby.) They continued on the with it even after I explained nicely that what they were doing was no appropriate. They went all out in description. (Extremely inappropriate!) Apparently that too was not an emergency.

Once after two people scammed other player, they were reported but it was not an "emergency." One kid kept bothering another in my room by saying very disturbing -taken- things. That too was not an emergency. Hmm...is the button only there to show that they have something like that even though it apparently cannot be used.

Then, during the Thanksgiving event, I reported "someone is walking around saying the answers" I got a reply "Thank you." Weird how when it deals with THEIR event they get all upset and when it deals with other players selves, it is not important enough.
