This is the response I received from them when I complained about the drastic increase in award redemption options.

I received your note asking about our Milesource.com award mileage increase.

In many ways, we are partners in the welfare of Milesource. Our revenue is generated from people shopping through Milesource, not from games or site-seeing. Therefore, we needed to change the balance of the site, and be more generous for shopping, and unfortunately less generous for other activities.

To help our members earn more points faster, we’ve more than tripled the number of AwardMiles® you can get when you shop your favorite stores. At Milesource.com we want to give our members the most for their money.

We’re also working hard to add sponsored surveys to the site that will let you add extra of AwardMiles.

They keep talking but all I hear is

That email does nothing to convince me that MileSource (like Memolink) has no intention of paying its members and will soon be gone. Who would shop at a place that gives you points that cannot be cashed in for a reward? I've got to cash in my points to get a certificate, wait for the certificate, hope that the reward that I want is still available for that certificate and then wait for the reward. How ridiculous is that?

Goodbye Milesource. You were once a good program but now you're a joke.
