When we were at DTD last Thanksgiving, I bought my DD8 an Italian Charm with Mickey's head in her birthstone. Since then, one of the ears has fallen off and gotten lost. We are going back this Dec., do you think they will replace it? I don't have the receipt.

Thanks,
Laurie

They should replace it. Make sure it says Walt Disney Collection on the back of it. Those are the "real" Disney charms. The other ones that are cheaper in the parks just say "Disney" on the back. I sell Zoppini in my gift store in GA and our policy is to replace the charm when it goes bad - I get credit from the manufacturer. Even without a receipt - since you're not asking for your money back they should replace it. I used to be a TDS manager - that was our policy there.

I bought Mickey head charm and the enamel on one of the ears fell off too. I didnt have my receipt, but emailed the WDW merchandise department. They asked for a photo and description of the charm, where I bought it, and how much I paid for it. About a week later, I got a new one in the mail. Go ahead and try to get it now. I dont know if theres a warranty period (mine was still under 90 days), and besides, 6 months is a long time to wait for a replacement (and what if they dont have it then)!

I hadn' t thought of emailing them, I assumed it would go better in person at the store where I purchased the charm. I'll give it a try!

Thanks!
Laurie
