Which is your favorite cruise (3, 4 or 7 night) and why? Which port stops are the best? Is the eastern cruise any better than the western and vice versa?

The longer - the better.

At the end of our 14-day Panama Canal cruise, we shared the sentiment being raised by one of the tables at breakfast on the last morning as they started to chant "Two More Weeks..., Two More Weeks...".

We only done 3-nights and are going on a 4-night this time. I would say the longer the better, since we never want to get off the ship at the end! We would have done the 7-night this summer, but since the Magic is not in the Caribbean we decided to do the 4. Also, if you are doing the parks, too, and you only want to be on vacation for a week, you have to do the shorter ones. It is hard for us to be gone longer than that due to my husband's work, dogs in kennel, kid's sports activities, etc. I think the shorter ones are also nice "introductions" to cruising if you have never been before. I would also be interested to know if people like east or west on the 7-night, since we would definitely do one of those in the future. STLDisney_Freak, I am a Mizzou alum, it sounds like you might be, too.

I'm in the "the longer the better" camp. Well, 7 days isn't long enough either come to think of it. We prefer the Western over the Eastern. For us one visit to St. Thomas and St. Maarten were enough. There was more for us to explore in Key West, Grand Cayman, Cozumel. Just my opinion.

I agree, the longer the better!!

I prefer the Eastern. Love the extra sea day to relax and enjoy things on the ship. We like St. Johns instead of St. Thomas.

On the Western Key West is our favorite port.
You can walk to everything from the port, so convenient.

All the cruises are great, just depends on what you like to do.

We where just on the Wonder on a four night cruise and after doing the 7 day Eastern last Feb the 4 night cruise was not long enough. I felt like it was a big tease!! We didn't get on the ship till the afternoon so basically that's a 1/2 day on the ship not even. Then you have three days to enjoy yourself and Wed night our luggage had to be packed up and outside our stateroom by 11pm. I felt like I had just unpacked!! So needless to say we are headed back on the 7 day next year. I loved the Eastern and I'm sure the Western will be just as good!!

Hi
Oh yes at least 7 days , even then it goes so fast you would'nt believe .
I love eastern and beautifuld st = marteen also loved st john and the st john island tour wich in my opinion was worth the 42 $ each for that nice 5 hours excursions and so much too see would do it again .

I'm so jealous of the folks who do back to back 7-day'ers! Now THAT's a vacation :cool1: let's see 2 weeks in the Walt suite ... kids can go to junior college...

Someday will join the back-to-back club!;)

I agree . . .longer the better.

WE LOVED EASTERN. WE LOVE ST. THOMAS/ST. JOHN!!!!!!!!!!
(We spent a week in the VIs this summer.)

I think we will love Western too. I am glad we HAVE to try it next. (THAT IS THE ONLY WEEK WE CAN GO OVER THE NEXT THREE YEARS!!!)

I hope to repeat Eastern after that. EVEN IF ( I hate to say this) it is not DCL that next Eastern. We love Eastern ports so much if it were another line OR no cruise, we'd go another line. (kids heading to college)

I'm the exception. I don't think we'd do another seven day. The four day was about perfect. The ship gets too small and everything gets to be a lot of the same.

DH is in favor of shorter cruises. He choose the 3-night this year. We will make the most of it, by getting to the port as soon as it opens and doing late seating for dinner, so we will be among the last off the ship. We will also only be doing a two-hour excursion in Nassau, (again DH's idea). If I had my way we wouldn't be getting off the ship. I like the shorter cruises, because the ship is my destination, not the ports . That being said, I would love to do back to back cruises on the Wonder one of these days.

After experiencing 3 and 4-night trips and reading everyone else's review's of the longer cruises, I don't think there is ever a time where someone actually WANTS to get off the ship. But, I do think next time I'll take my Mom and do a 4-night, since she has never cruised before.

We did a 3 day and that was TOO short. We are doing a 7 day Western in Oct and we cant wait!! But I think our next cruise will be a 4 day so we can fit both WDW and a Cruise into our vacation.
