Reopening of BTMRR?

My family will be in DL in April and one of our favorite rides is Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Do any of you know when it is expected to reopen from refurbishment? Hoping it will be open when we go!! Thanks for any info on this you might have!

One of hte better Vlog sites said they dont think it will be a long downtime but didnt put forth a guess for reopening. We are hoping that it is a short refurb as well as its a favorite of ours to.

I’m not expecting to Indy to reopen before Memorial Day weekend.

That’s my expectation. Which wouldn’t surprise me if Indy reopens on Friday or Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and splash closes that Tuesday.

I'm putting my money on Indy opening in early May, since it isn't specifically listed as an exclusion during Star Wars Nites, but is excluded in the fine print for Throwback Nites.

Additionally, Critter Country is excluded from Star Wars Nite, which makes me think Splash will be down by then.

I'm so glad BTMRR will be back up and running for our April trip! I'm also happy it's looking like Splash Mountain will still be here for April! Gotta get in a last ride (or two or three)!

Glad to hear Big Thunder will be back up for our May trip! I hope Indy is, too and I'd love to do Splash one more time. Guess we'll see.

Agreed. Makes sense to close at the end of the year...during late fall 2023.

I was reading on the Disney Tourist Blog the other day that his theory is that Splash isn’t closed at DL yet as they are waiting until they are further along with the refurb at WDW first to use some of the “lessons learned” before they start on the DL version. He didn’t think they’d wait until they were entirely done with Splash at WDW before closing at DL but that it would still be a bit its closed. Perhaps they will wait until the fall of 2023 to close it…
