Renting

Is there no longer a place to go on here to rent a DVC member's points? My family is going in ***** and would like to rent points. Most companies I see charge about $15 per point and they were looking to try and do it for $12. Any one have any advice they could give to me?

In order to view the Rent/Trade board you must be logged into the DISBoard system. You may request a reservation be replying into an existing Points for Rent thread. The board no longer accepts Reservation Wanted type threads.

As you are finding out, it's tough to rent points for less than$15/p from places like Davids simply because of the makeup of the cost. THe owner wants to get around $11/p if possible and then add the dealers markup of $3-4/p and you get to the magical $15/p.
Disney has done a great job of filling the rooms at WDW with so many different offers and events that therr is no real low season anymore so the demand for points and reservations is on the rise.
I bought into DVC to minimize my expense of going to WDW, but at $15/p much of that savings (for the renter) is gone.
