I just read that strollers can be rented for the week. I was not aware of this. Is this accurate????

Yes, you can pre-pay multi-day rentals. You are basically just cutting out the time it takes to pay each day. You are issued a number of tickets and on your subsequesnt trips to the parks you hand over a ticket rather than cash. So, you avoid the "pay here" line and go straight to the "give me a stroller" line. Our last trip was in September and my wife and I can't recall if there was a discount to multi-day rentals. I believe there was. We ended up not using our last ticket and are holding it for an upcoming trip in May. Tickets are good at the parks and Downtown Disney.

We did the same on our recent trip. There is a slight discount for renting all at one shot. I can't remember exactly how much, I want to say 10 or 15%, but hey, every little bit helps the magic go on! Although the counter help at the rental station was very pleasant and accomodating, they did not volunteer the info that you could pre pay for multiple days and I never saw it posted anywhere. It's one of those things you just have to "know".
Anyway, have a great trip!

I have also read on these boards that www.abbf.com (A Baby's Best Friend) will drop off and pick up a stroller right to/from your hotel. (I think the single stroller was $50 for the week) I had ordered one for our upcoming trip, but had to cancel last minute, so I have not used their services, but if you run a search on these boards you may be able to find some testimonials from people who have.

Just a thought...
especially if you have the park-hopper option, it's nice to use Disney's strollers. You just take your tag from the one you rented in one park to the next park and you pick up another stroller there at no additional charge. then you don't have to worry about folding up your stroller and fitting it on with you in the tram or the bus or the monorail (which can get pretty packed at times). We used to bring our personal stroller with us for Downtown Disney or other running around, but prefer to use the Disney strollers in the park. I can't remember exactly, but I want to say we rented a double stroller for the week for around $70. At first I was hesitant to spend the money, but the convenience for us made it well worth it.
