Renting Sailboats?

Has anyone rented a hobie cat or sunfish sailboat from any of the resort marinas? Has much was it? Did you enjoy it?

This is something I always wanted to do but my sailing experience is limited to helping around a rather large sail boat pulling this rope and cranking that (and the odd ducking motion), I have no idea how to actually sail.

I have never rented a sail boat... but if you can, I suggest you rent it at Contemporary, Poly, Grand Floridian or Wilderness Lodge.
These hotels are all on two large connected lakes. You have enough room there to really move the boat around.

If you rent at the Epcot resorts you don't have half the same space.

Have a fun trip!

We have rented at DTD (recently) and Fort Wilderness (ages ago) - one of the big canopy boats. Really enjoyed it both time - got my DH to do the driving though! (or do I mean sailing?):lmao:

Anyone rent a Hobie Cat on the Seven Seas Lagoon?

We did, but it was back in 2001. We rented from the Polynesian.
I really don't remember what it cost. It was really fun though. It was a very very windy day and I could tell that the CM working at the dock were nervous when we came back that we were going to crash into the dock. DH is a professional sailor, so they needn't have worried!

Anyway, it was really a blast. We got it going pretty fast, too.
