Renting questions from a newbie

I'm interested in a BCV Studio for July '06, two adults. If I can find an BCV owner willing to sell the points I need, they can book for me 11 months out, correct? If not, a non-BCV owner can book for me at 7 months, correct? Do I even stand a chance? I need to get this straight in my mind as 11 months out (Aug.) will be here soon. When should I post my interest in aquiring these points?

Also, how do I know the amount of points I need won't go up in '06? Right now, the points calculator says 134.

Yes, a BCV owner can book for you at 11-months. Owners at other resorts have to wait until 7-months.

Points requirements for 2006 are the same as 2005. July is Magic Season so a Studio at BCV runs 14 points/night Sun-Thurs, or 32 points/night for Fri/Sat.

Keep in mind you don't have to go for exactly 7 days. You can go more or less. So the 134 points is only if you do a full week.

You can post something on the rent/trade board to see if you can find someone to work with, and get all the agreements worked out. That way they'd be ready to call right at 11-months.
