I read somewhere that you can rent Pontoon (sp?) boats? How far can you take these? Can you dock and explore at other resorts?

We will have 7 adults, what is the largest boat, and anyone know the costs.

If you can't dock at the resorts and explore, anything else you can do on them?

Thanks!

Check out the Theme Park Attractions and Strategies board. Under Illuminations Cruises, you'll find out everything you need to know!

We had so much fun on those boats. Sorry it was 10 years ago and I dont remember how much they cost. We just rode around on it, we didnt stop anywhere.

Hi,

Thanks for the help.

I'm not looking for the Illuminations cruise, but this is a boat you rent just by yourself, no driver for one hour for around $40. I think pick up is at DD?

Anyone know about this?

Thanks

We've rented pontoon boats at DD as well as from resorts(GF, Polynesian). I don't remember the rate for the rental-I think around$32 per half hour? We used the Captain's plan(?-I can't remember anything today!) during our last stay at the GF. We paid $199.00 for unlimited boating(included pontoons, mouseboats, sialboats) for the length of our stay. It was terrific!
You're not able to dock at any other resorts but it's fun to bring lunch and hang out on the boat.

We have rented water mice and the canopy boats. they are around $30 a half hour with the pontoon boats being a couple dollars more(THERE ARE SOME DISCOUNTS).I'm sure the pontoons will hold 7 people, and you do drive yourself. One tip, if you rent at the "lakeside resorts" you only get to go around that lake, but at DD you get to go up the river to the resorts there, just seems like a little more of a trip.

Addie, my daughter and I rent the pontoon boats all the time. We rent from both the Poly and POR. We like POR and the ride down the Sassagoula river to DTD you can get some real nice pictures of the sea serpent at the Lego store. You can not dock the boat at DTD, or at either POFQ and OKW. But the ride is great! The rental at the Poly is great also. We ride around Seven Seas Lagoon and then ride over to Bay Lake. It's nice to see the CR from back side as well as FW and WL. We make it a point to rent these every year. At both the Poly and POR you have a large body of water that you can travel. The cost of the rental as of last year was $37.00 per half hour.

I have a great time!

We bought the Captian's plan this past October at the Contemporary...

Captain’s Plan is 4 hours of either the mouse boats or the canopy boats (platoon boat) for $113. plus tax.

There’s also the Length of Stay plan for about $200. plus tax.

The canopy boat fee was $34.90 for ½ hour.

Mouse boat fees: $21.69 for ½ hour; $27.35 for 45 minutes and $30.18 for 1 hour.

I felt the Captain's plan was well worth it! We used it twice for the Canopy boat and then the rest of the time for the mouse boats. The canopy boat is a great deal because you can fit 10 people for the same price so if you wanted to divide the price by 10 people, it's a VERY good deal!!

Can anyone in your group use the Captian's plan or Length of Stay plan, or is it issued in one persons name and they have to be there at all times to rent?

Thanks!

I'm not certain, but I believe anyone in the family can use it. That way anyone in the family can go out in the mouse boats...they give you a card and stamp it for each used...
