If I only need a few points to complete a reservation can I rent the points needed from another memeber or would I have to rent the total points for 1 night from the memeber?

In other words if the room is 50 points and I already have 40 can I rent just the 10 points to use?

You'd have to find a member willing to transfer points. Under a typical rental, the owner of the points retains ownership and simply books a room in your name. Since neither of you will be "paying" for the entire night, you'll have to pool the points under one account.

If you're trying to book 11 mos out, just make sure they are the same Home resort as your points. You can complete the transfer with one phone call to MS.

yes..........you can but if your booking 11 months out get the right points

Have you considered borrowing the points you need from the next use year? If not, that's a lot easier than renting.

Best wishes -

CarolMn,

Wish I could, but we are already in point deficit and purchasing more is not an option right now.

I was hoping for a Grand Villa for New Years Eve and the next day and my home resort SSR is more than I will have. I may try and wait list for a OKW at 7 months.

Everyone, thank you for the information.
