Renting points

Has anyone had any experience of renting points from members in the US? Does the money have to be exchanged by by bank transfer?

Hi,

Yes I rented points from a US member for our stay at BWV in September this year.

The solution we finally agreed on was for me to use Paypal to pay the member in US$'s. It worked well from my point of view and although the exchange rate used by Paypal was not 'the best' available I did not need to pay the charges associated with wiring money.

there is another option but i use the paypal agreement all the time..........you can agree on a price then the renter can transfer the points in question to your account so you can make all your own ressies..........or if your a trusting soul the DVCer can make your ressies for you after you pay...........i have done it all ways...........it all works but everyones comfort level is different.

Hi we own homes in the disney area and if we rent to americans we quote in Dollars and get them to pay directly into our bank account. Or from the UK if you rent with an american you can get an International Money Order for £8 from the bank and you get a better exchange rate than the normal tourist rate.
