Renting Points; what to ask member?

I've booked a reservation through a 3rd party renting points for a 6 night stay at VGC in June. I want to ask the 3rd party if the member will submit a room request for me. I've got an email drafted, so all the member will have to do is shoot the email off to member services. While I'm at it, is there anything else that I should ask/include? I really don't want to bug the member/owner, so I feel like I have one shot at this. Is there anything else you can think of that I should include that only the member can handle?

Room requests, DME, DDP.

You aren't bugging the owner, IMO your rental includes being able to ask DVC questions and rental specific questions. That is part of the service.

I'll disagree. Its very conscientious of you not to bug the owner. They are an owner of DVC points - not a travel agent. The service is making a room reservation for you. Most will happily make a room request and add the DDP and ME, and some are delighted to help you plan every step of the vacation. But some just want to get rid of their points with as little fuss and bother as possible.

But yes, if you want the DDP or need to ask about ME, this will be a good time.

Also be aware that DVC room request success is spotty. After a dozen years, we seldom bother to make them any longer because we've only gotten a single request met - and have gotten our best rooms with no request at all.

VGC = no DME and no DDP.

OP - room request is most of it for VGC. Have fun!
 

Thank you guys for your perspectives! I know the room request is a long shot, but darn if I can't help myself to try! I figure the easiest I make it for the member, the more likely they'll send the email....but I won't push it. Thanks again!!
 
For what it's worth, I have no problem, whatsoever, making DME, DDP reservations and answering questions. A well informed renter = a happy Disney DVC Guest. To me, it goes along with the territory. If I wasn't willing to do these things, then I would sell them to a service.
