Renting points question

Ok, so I thought we were set for DH and I in a studio and I understand how to rent those points. Then 1 couple said they were coming, so I'd just up the size of our villa, no problem. Now another couple says if we change our week (rental isn't in place yet we are beyond 11 months out), they can come for part of the week.

If they want to be in the same villa as us, how do we add them for just a portion of the week?

Split stay? They'll have their own tix, but how would they get keys otherwise?

If you exceed the villa capacity, you can't get them keys. If you haven't, just add them for your entire stay. Hope that you aren't using the DDP.

Be very careful with this. If you are willing to put the other couple in a room you'd rent anyway, you are fine (i.e. share a studio with them - but a studio is a Queen and a full pullout). If you up the room size (i.e. get a two bedroom) and the other couple (couples?) cancel on you, DVC isn't generally cancellable - you'll be holding the bag on a much bigger room.

I'd keep the studio for you and DH and tell your friends when you are going and give them the details to make their own reservations.

(But for six, if you want to change room sizes, you'll basically have two reservations - a studio or one bedroom for part of the week - a two bedroom for the other part. You may or may not have to move - reservations can be linked to lower your chances of having to move. Or just get a two bedroom for the week and throw the "part of a week" guests on the pullout in the living room.)
