Renting points - Magical Express?

We are looking to possibly rent points for a stay in January... would we be eligible to utilize Magical Express?

Yes, Magical Express is offered to anyone staying at a Disney resort. You will either have to get the DVC member to book it for you, or get the Reservation number and you can call and book it yourself.

Unless things have changed, DVC point reservations for DME have to be input by MS. After input, you can call and verify or correct the reservation.

We are staying on rented points and checking-in on Thursday. We are using ME but the person we are renting through handled the ME reservations for us. It is my understanding that I couldn't do that.

Whenever I have rented points, the DVC members always offered me both the Magic Express and dining plan options I have had the most positive experiences with renting using the Rent/Trade thread here on the DIS
